I am a specialist in the culture and history of error in the early modern period. From July–October 2022 I will be the Byrne-Bussey Marconi Fellow at the Bodleian Library, Oxford, researching the project ‘Correcting Readers in Seventeenth Century Natural Philosophy’. This investigates the extensive annotations left by Christopher Wren in Thomas Browne’s Pseudodoxia Epidemica (1646). I am Co-editor on the Notebooks volume of The Complete Works of Thomas Browne (OUP) and I am also working on a short book entitled Early Modern Bookspace, under contract with Cambridge University Press.
