Oliver Markeson

I am a Dphil student exploring ‘The Significance of Hands in Tudor Portraiture’. I have a particular interest in the performance of power, and hope to generate insight into court dynamics at the time. I am taking an interdisciplinary approach, building on my graduate study of material culture within ‘Literature and Arts’ in the Department of Continuing Education. I returned to study later in life, having enjoyed a career as a Brand Strategist in the creative industry.
